Additional Driver Policy

Addtitional driver's charge is 2.50 EUR + VAT per day (maximum of 25.00 EUR + VAT for the whole rental).  Maximum of 2 additional driver's per agreement allowed.

Age Requirements

Minimum rental age is 21 years, however, a young driver's surcharge of 25.00 EUR + VAT applies to anyone under 23 years of age when renting car groups B (EXMR), C (ECMR), C1 (CXMR), D (CCMR) and D1 (CFMR).  There is no maximum age limit.

Condition of Vehicle

Vehicle must be returned, normal wear & tear expected, in the same condition as when rented. If special cleaning is required a separate charge will be made directly to the customer

Cross Border Policy

Cars cannot be driven into non-EU countries: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia & Montenegro, Ukraine, Iran and Iraq.  Vehicle's may enter EU countries but only via Greece by ferry to Italy and Turkey.  Additional documents required to cross border are: Special Insurance / Green Card, extension of insurance for travel abroad and letter of authorization issued by National location / should be taken at a cost of engine size and length of rental.  For going abroad a period of 5 days advance notice is required to obtain all client's data such as: a copy of their driving licence and passport.

Licence Requirements

All EU licences are valid in Bulgaria as well as America, Canada, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia etc.  Military driving licences are not allowed.  The licence must have been held for at least one year.  Non-Roman script licences must have an International licence and their licence from country of domicile.

One Way Rentals

Domestic one way rentals are allowed with an extra charge of EUR 100.00 + VAT for all car groups.  One ways have to be pre-booked and the minimum length of rental must be at least 3 days.

International one-way rentals are available - please refer to International One Way Program (IOWP)

Payment Policy

Acceptable methods of payment are: Visa, MasterCard, Diners, Amex, Travellers Cheques and Eurocheques are not accepted.  Cash payments are accepted for car group B (EXMR) only - At the beginning of the rental, the client must pay the total sum of the rental and leave the deposit of 1000.00 EUR if paying by cash.  If paying by credit card, the deposit for groups B, C and C1 is 300.00 EUR, for groups D and D1 350.00 EUR and for group S 500.00 EUR.  The deposit is held on the credit card until the car is returned.

The primary currency is Euro's but also accepted are BGL, USD and Liva.

Refuelling Policy

The vehicle's are supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned the same otherwise an additional charge or 1.00 EUR + VAT per liter will apply.  Fuel Purchase Option available from rental counter.

Roadside Assistance

Breakdown Procedure: The driver must call the location from which the vehicle has been rented.  Refunds of expenses will be honored against the dealer's official invoice or registered workshop that has effected the repair.  If neccessary a replacement car will be provided within 24 hours.

Accident Procedure: Customers must report the accident immediately to the nearest police station and request a copy of the formal police accident report.  A replacement vehicle will be provided within 24 hours if the accident was not caused by the influence of alcohol or by gross negligence of traffic rules.

When renting, the customer will receive a list of available service stations, the Head Office telephone number and a 24 hour call line in case of breakdown or accident.

Special Equipment

Child/Toddler Seat              CST - 2.50 EUR per day, maximum charge of 25.00 EUR per rental, on request & 24 Hrs notice req.

Booster Seat                        BST - 2.50 EUR per day, maximum charge of 25.00 EUR per rental, on request & 24 Hrs notice req.

SKI Rack                             SKV - 2.50 EUR per day, maximum charge of 25.00 EUR per rental, on request & 24 Hrs notice req.

Snow Chains                       SNO - 2.50 EUR per day, maximum charge of 25.00 EUR per rental, on request & 24 Hrs notice req.

Winter Equipped Vehicle     WIN - Available from November to March only and includes Snow Tyres.  On Freesale & Free of charge.

All special equipment is available for all cars at all locations and prices above exclude VAT.  All special equipment is available for one ways.  No deposit is required.

Surcharges

Airport Surcharge - 16.67 EUR + VAT per rental (this includes Sofia Downtown).

Insurances & Waivers:

CDW – Collision Damage Waiver

Collision Damage Waiver is included in the rental rate (except for US & CA).  Covered under this clause are all risks, except the excluded ones mentioned below, which can result in total or partial loss of the insured motor vehicle.

This insurance does not cover damage to the underside body of the vehicle, tires and rims.  The insurance does not cover any damage or theft if the renter violates the conditions of the use of the vehicle or if the renter has operated the vehicle in contradiction with the rental agreement and/or legal provisions.

Third Party Liability

Third Party Liability is included in the rates and required by law.  The rented vehicle is covered for Third Party Liability: for property damages - 102,000 Euros.  Intangible assets from 358,000 Euro to 511,000 Euro in accordance to BG law and a copy is available in the car for inspection.

SLDW – Super Lost & Damage Waiver

If the renter accepts SLDW, he/she will not pay the deductible amount for CDW & TW - this will be reduced to zero.

TP – Theft Protection

Theft Waiver is included in the rental rate (except US & CA) and covers the theft of the rented vehicle after deductible.  This insurance does not cover theft of rim cover, RCD Player, registration documents, key with alarm and theft of any personal luggages.  Also the insurance does not cover any damage or theft if the renter violates the conditions of use of the vehicle or if the renter has operated the vehicle in contradiction with the rental agreement and/or the legal provisions.
