Additional Driver Policy

Maximum of 1 additional driver allowed at no additional charge.

Age Requirements

Drivers must be 21 years of age for all cars.

Condition of Vehicle

Vehicle must be returned, normal wear & tear expected, in the same condition as when rented. If special cleaning is required a separate charge will be made directly to the customer

Cross Border Policy

There are no extra charges for taking the rental vehicle across the Bosnian border. It is not permitted to take the rental vehicle into the following countries:

Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Ukraine, Serbia & Montenegro, Moldavia, Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria and Romania and all other countries outside Europe. Advanced notice is required if renters intend to travel outside Bosnia.

Licence Requirements

Only drivers of 21 years & over. Must be in possession of a driving licence that has been valid for at least 2 years. An International Drivers Licence is not required

One Way Rentals

International one-way rentals are available - please refer to International One Way Program (IOWP)

One-way rentals within Bosnia & Herzegovina for all car groups are free of charge with a minimum rental length of 24 hours

Out of Hours Policy

Available between 12am to 6am

Payment Policy

Cash rentals are not permitted. Acceptable credit cards are Visa, Amex, Diners & MasterCard.

Also accepted are Eurocheques & Travellers cheques in USD. 

A deposit is held on a credit card until the car is returned, for credit card payments the deposit is double the amount of the agreed rental. If CDW is declined the deposit required is the full value of the car.

Refuelling Policy

Car is supplied with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank otherwise a EUR 5.00 + VAT service fee will apply.

Roadside Assistance

In the event of a breakdown the driver must call the location from which the vehicle was rented. Repairs can be arranged with an official dealer by the renter if necessary, but only after receiving authorization  from the original rental location. Refunds of expenses will be made against that dealer's official receipt. In addition, if parts are replaced, the damaged/faulty parts must be presented with the receipt. If necessary a replacement vehicle will be provided.  

In the event of an accident the customer must immediately contact the location from which the vehicle was rented, and the nearest police station. A special report form (supplied at the time of rental with the car documents) must be filled out and sent /delivered immediately to the rental location.  If necessary a replacement vehicle will be provided.

Renters must cooperate with National/Alamo in any subsequent investigation or procedure concerning the accident. Renters will be held responsible for all expenses if the terms of the rental-agreement are not adhered to.

All special equipment (except snow-chains) requires 24 hours advance notice and is available for one-way rentals.

Snow chains are available between November - March - all vehicles. In addition, vehicles will be fitted with radial tyres.

Insurances & Waivers:

CDW – Collision Damage Waiver

Reduces the amount of the renters damage responsibility to the sum of the deductible.

Third Party Liability

Third Party Cover is at  least 1 million EURs

CDW2 – Collision Damage Waiver Plus

Collision Damage Waiver Plus reduces the deductible on ordinary CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) to zero.

TP – Theft Protection

Reduces the renters responsibility for loss/damage to the car by or following theft /attempted theft, to the sum of the deductible
