Additional Driver Policy

Additional Driver is EUR 2.00 per day, per driver with maximum of 2 additional drivers.

Age Requirements

Minimum rental age is 23 years for car groups MCMR, ECMN, ECMR & CCMR.  For all other cars the minimum age limit is 25 years. There is a maximum age of 71 years. There is no young driver fee. There is a maximum age of 71 years.

Condition of Vehicle

Vehicle must be returned, normal wear & tear expected, in the same condition as when rented. If special cleaning is required a separate charge will be made directly to the customer

Cross Border Policy

Cross border travel is permitted within EU countries and only for reservations which have been placed for Corporate locations.  Cars may not cross former Serbia & Montenegro borders.  96 Hours notice must be provided and the driver must provide details of the exact route together with licence and passport details in order for a Green Card to be issued. Sublicenses & service agents do not issue green cards.  The renter will be required to leave a credit card deposit - amount depends on the country/countries to be visited.

Licence Requirements

All EU licences are valid in Greece. For non EU licence holders, it is mandatory they hold an International driving licence. All drivers must have held a licence for at least 1 year.

All drivers must have a clean driving record.

One Way Rentals

Domestic : All one-way rentals are available at a charge of EUR 175.00 between Mainland to Mainland. Also One-way rentals are available between locations in the same Island without extra cost. No One-way rentals are allowed between Islands or between Mainland and Islands. Car groups FVMR & PDMR are not allowed for one way rentals.

International – Not permitted.

Out of Hours Policy

Outside office hours: i.e. from 2100 to 0730 hours - Delivery available at EUR 28.00

Payment Policy

 All rentals to be paid for in advance.  Cash rentals require a minimum deposit equal to the rental cost, fuel deposit (60,00 Euro), damage excess

 deposit (depending on car group) and cash deposit of Euro 120.00 + vat per day. Renters must present their passports, travel itinerary and flight

 tickets. Cash only accepted for car groups A - MCMN, A1 - MCMR, B1 - ECMR & C - CCMR.  All other car  groups cannot be rented on a cash basis - credit card only.

 Acceptable credit cards are: Visa, MasterCard and Amex. In addition, Also accepted are Eurocheques and Travellers cheques in Euros, US dollars and GB pounds.

 Deposits required are as follows:- FOR CREDIT CARD RENTALS: Rental cost, fuel deposit, damage excess deposit.

 Due to processing times credit card deposits may take upto to 10-14 days after return of the vehicle to be returned to the customer.

Refuelling Policy

Vehicle is supplied with a full tank of fuel. Return full or a refuelling charge of EUR 1.25 per litre will apply.

Roadside Assistance

In case of breakdown or accidents a replacement vehicle will be provided if necessary, contact the branch that supplied the vehicle and report the accident. Dependent on the circumstances, we reserve the right not to replace the vehicle.

24 Hour roadside assistance cover is provided.

Special Equipment

Child/Infant seat   = CSI - 9 months to 4 years/9 Kgs to 20 Kgs 

Child seat/toddler = CST - 4 years to 6 years/20 Kgs plus

Booster seat        = CSB - 7 years plus

Snow chains        = SNO - Available all year, at all Mainland Locations

All special equipment is charged at EUR 3.00 per day, per item, plus tax, to a maximum charge of EUR 25.00 per item, plus tax. All special equipment is on request with advance notice required. Not available for one-way travel.

GPS = Euro 7.00 per day plus tax, and is available only at the following locations - Athens Airport, Athens downtown, Thessaloniki Airport and Heraklion Airport. GPS is On-Request with 7 days advance notice.

Mobile telephones, luggage-racks, ski-racks and winter equipped vehicles are not available from our Greek locations

This country does not provide reflective jackets and is not required by law to do so.

Surcharges

Airport surcharge is 6% of total rental value + TAX, except Athens International Airport which is 13% + TAX

Tax

19% except for the islands of Rhodes, Kos, Samos, Karpathos, Chios, Mykonos, Paros, Lesvos, Naxos Santorini, Limnos ,Skiathos and Thassos  where the tax is 13%                                                                                                                                                                                    

Insurances & Waivers:

CDW – Collision Damage Waiver

Purchasing Collision Damage Waiver reduces the amount of the renters damage responsibility to the amount of the deductible - EUR 400.00 - 1500.00 depending on car group. If CDW is  declined, customer will be responsible the entire amount of damage to/or loss of the vehicle and a fee of between Euro 7000.00 - 50,000.00 depending on car type will be held on the credit card for one month.

Damages which are due to violation of the Greek Traffic Law - ie damages caused to the underside or the wheels and tyres of the rented car - are not covered by CDW.

FDW – Full Damage Waiver

FDW - Full Damage Waiver, if purchased, reduces the deductible amount - EUR 400 - 1500 depending on car group - on Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) to zero.

FTW – Full Theft Waiver

FTW - Full Theft Waiver, if purchased, reduces the deductible amount - EUR 300 - 600 depending on car group - on Theft Protection (TP) to zero.

TP – Theft Protection

Purchasing Theft Protection reduces the amount of the renters damage responsibility to the amount of the deductible - EUR 300 - 600 depending on car group - for loss/damage to the car by or following theft/attempted theft. If TP is declined, the customer will be responsible for the entire loss and/or damage to the vehicle.

TW1

TW1 - Theft Waiver, if purchased, reduces the deductible amount - EUR 300 - 600 depending on car group - on Theft Protection (TP) to zero.

TPL

TPL - Third Party Liability is included in the vehicle rental rate. Limits to the cover are Euro 500,000.00 for bodily injuries (authorised driver only). Material damage Euro 100,000.00
