Additional Driver Policy

Additional driver has to have a valid driving licence at least 2 years, maximum of 4 additional drivers per rental. No additional driver fee.

Age Requirements

Minimum rental age is 21 years to drive ECMR, EDMR, CDMR & CCMR. Minimum rental age is 25 to drive ICMR, FFMR & FVMR. There is no maximum age limit. There is no young driver fee.

Condition of Vehicle

Vehicle must be returned, normal wear & tear expected, in the same condition as when rented. If special cleaning is required a separate charge will be made directly to the customer

Cross Border Policy

Cars may NOT be driven into Bulgaria. Advance notice is required at point of reservation if the car is going to be driven out of the country as a Green card is required.

Licence Requirements

Only persons over 21 years who are in possession of a valid driving licence at least 2 years (2 x 365 days) are allowed to drive the rented car.

One Way Rentals

International one-way rentals are available - please refer to International One Way Program (IOWP)

Domestic one way rentals are allowed for all car groups free of charge. With a minimum length of rental of 24 hours and must be pre booked.

Out of Hours Policy

An advance notice period of 12 hours must be given for after hour’s reservations.

Out of Hours pick up charge is 15 Euro + VAT

Out of Hours drop off charge is 15 Euro + VAT

Payment Policy

Cash payments accepted. Credit cards accepted: Visa, Diners, MasterCard,  Travellers Cheques-(Euro). (Amex not accepted) Deposit is held until vehicle is returned for cash and credit card payments.

- For cash rentals / credit card payments : 700 Euro

- If CDW is declined : 1500 Euro

Refuelling Policy

Vehicle will be supplied with full tank of fuel and should be returned full. If the car is not returned full the renter will be charged for missing fuel + service fee which is 10 Euro + tax.

Roadside Assistance

In the event of an accident the customer must immediately contact the location from which the vehicle was rented, and the nearest police station. A replacement car is provided if necessary. A special report form (supplied at the time of rental with the car documents) must be filled out and sent /delivered immediately to the rental location. If necessary a replacement vehicle will be provided. Renters must cooperate with National/Alamo in any subsequent investigation or procedure concerning the accident. Renters will be held responsible for all expenses if the terms of the rental-agreement are not adhered to.

Insurances & Waivers:

CDW – Collision Damage Waiver

Reduces the amount of  the renters damage responsibility  to the sum of the deductible .

Third Party Liability

Third Party Cover is at  least 1 million EUR

SCDW – Super Collision Damage Waiver

Super Collision Damage Waiver reduces the deductible on ordinary CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) to zero.

TP – Theft Protection

Reduces the renters responsibility for loss/damage to the car by or following theft /attempted theft, to the sum of the deductible
